Pretty much the same as Tull's quieter side. Mostly acoustic based stuff. Have a feeling a lot of it is leftovers from some of the Tull albums. Not sure.

Incidentally if you were lucky enough to have the tag 'ex-Jethro Tull' in the 70's you were immeadiately swallowed up for session work etc.etc. By all accounts IA was and is an absolute perfectionist in the studio. Rehearsals for tours and concerts were incredibly demanding. Musicians had to be spot on all the time otherwise they would do it again. And again and again and again......

That doesn't surprise me at all, listening to a lot of their boots and the playing is always tight.

Genesis - Seconds Out. My favourite of theirs. 'Supper's Ready' is just plain brilliant.

Rod Stewart before he went all Hollywood on us. After Steve Marriott abandoned Small Faces, Rod
and Ron Wood were recruited and they becme just Faces. Rod would later jump ship to go solo,
but these were his roots. Ronnie Wood made his own name with the Stones and Kenny Jones tried
to replace Keith Moon with the Who. Keyboardist Ian McLagan has shown up as a session guy on
countless albums. So they have all made their mark in the industry. They only existed for four
albums and this is the last. Two love tracks for me and the dreaded instrumental. That one is
called Fly In The Ointment and I kept trying to sing those words into the track, but couldn't
find where they would fit. The album hit #21 on the chart here in the states with no listed
singles.
I LIKE THIS ALBUM

never really got into the Faces...they werent the same without Steve Marriott IMO, who if course, went on to front Humble Pie after rejecting the offer from Paige to front Led Zepplin when he was looking for a vocalist...
i do have a couple of Faces 7" singles though, "ooh la la" is one of them, good song "**"

The Faces actually did a 40th anniversay tour of the UK the other year...Rod's vocals couldnt cut it anymore apparently, the remaining Faces asked Paul Weller to do the job but he was too bust recording and touring himself(and wouldnt do it anyway), in the end Mick Hucknell of Simply Red fame did the mic work which would have been interesting IMO
