MARILYN MANSON "mechanical animals" cd.

what do you get when you cross the glam rock of Bowie/T-Rex and introduce industrial metal?....the answer is Marilyn Manson.
each member of the group bares the name of a model and serial killer...and that also describes their image/music to a tee.
im not too keen on this one, got it on the strength of their brilliant yet controversial single "i dont like the drugs(but the drugs like me), cant believe this caused such an uproar when it came it, but it added to the hype and sales skyrocketed...
the album isnt really as heavy musically as their other albums, infact its a bit more melodic( i prefer the heavy manson), this one also isnt anywhere near as good as my other album by them called "the golden age of grotesque" which i absolutely love...
nevertheless, not a bad piece of work overall..

I LIKE THIS ALBUM

Music Head, I love your new sig.

Manson is freaking awesome. When he first came out, he had so much negative press, and it kinda affected me. But then, years later, I took an honest, mature listen. He is a great artist.

I am currently listening in-depth to Protest the Hero's Kezia and and Darkest Hour's Deliver Us. So far, so good! (...so what?! <=== LOL, anybody get that joke?)

A little old-school M.D. reference will always bring a smile.

Listening to the very first "Moxy" album...which came out (I think) in 1975. They were a Canadian band that I don't believe ever got their share of the limelight. They wrote some amazing classic rock stuff in the 70's.

Jeepers creepers Music Head. never heard of them either ! Perhaps the other token Canuck known as EvilB can shed some light on Moxy. The only Moxy I know is a Valley bulldog that my little guy visits...lol

Wow, Moxy is a leap back to the 70s. Fun hard rock band from Toronto, their first three albums are the ones most fans agree were them at their prime. I enjoyed the single "Cause There's Another" great guitar rock sound throughout. Tommy Bolin was a session guitarist on their first album.
