Spent the morning listening to an old album - Uriah Heep's Wonderworld. Have to say it has not aged well. Will not be playing this one again. Still like their other stuff but this one must be one of their worst.

KEITH RICHARDS & THE X PENSIVE WINOS "main offender" cd,1992.

he sure was....the main offender!
a true rock and roll outlaw and the phrase 'sex,drugs and rock and roll'..must surely have been invented to describe the Stones axeman!
not a big Stones fan as you guys know, but i do like this album from Mr Richards...
lots of his trademark riffs happening here,except for that stupid reggae influenced track "words of wonder",a piece of crap by anyones standard IMO...two other disliked tracks here, but the vast majority are pretty good, and one, "eileen" is sublime IMO...not sure why i love it, i just do...
not a bad album and i guess one to keep the bank balance up(or to keep him in supply of coke for another year or so) whilst the Stones took a break...

Eileen, better than I expected

Debut album from the guy that stole Mac's voice. In fact he stole his music sound too. Most of
these songs could pass for something off of any pre wings McCartney album. I have two of
Emmitt's four albums and I think I did the other one recently. Not sure how that one came out,
but I like this one. Two love tracks and nothing I don't like. Here's the cool thing about this
album. Emitt had built a recording studio in his parents garage. He recorded this album there.
He wrote all the songs, does all the vocals and plays all the instruments. Of course others
have pulled this off, but this attempt is one of the best. I do have the those first two Emitt
Rhodes albums, but I'm ashamed for not followig up with the next two.
