tough call for me between that one and Love Over Gold....from memory i gave the latter 2.9 when i posted it, but either way pretty hard to go past either as they are great examples of what great music and lyrics should sound like...
the amazing thing is that Knopfler cannot read or write a note of music and manages to put together what appears to be some complicated/intricate guitar playing...and its all 'finger picked' also....

ZZ TOP "eliminator" cd,1983
and then we delve back into the archives of the nineteen eighties....
pretty hard to knock the guitar driven rock from the 'bearded ones' of rock and roll...
if you like or even love the hits from this one like "gimme all your lovin","sharp dressed man" or even "legs", then youre gonna feel right at home with this one....
these guys recrently toured here(not sure if they were with KISS or Guns & Roses), but whoever it was ZZ Top apparently stole the show that night...
i wasnt aware that these guys have had the same unchanged line-up since the 1960s when they started rockin out together, apparently that is in the Guiness book Of Records, so i guess it must be true....
whenever i hear ZZ Top now it brings back many a fond memory of Music Head and myself at the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in july 2011 where their "eliminator" car was on display in the main foyer....great stuff!

from my library (cd)
Over to the new stack for this follow up to the previously posted Greatest Hits collection. A
bit of a disappointment for me. Any Bruce album should come in higher than this. Not that it's
a bad album, just lower than expected. Turns out this is mostly a compilation of a compilation.
Six months previous to the release of this, a boxed set titled Tracks had been released. All
but three of the songs on this one, were on that one. A bit of a marketing strategy in play
here. Anyway, only two love tracks come off of this one, compared to three do not likes. With
18 tracks on the album, seems like an ok buy from the bargain bin once again for $5.

10CC "how dare you!" cd,1976.
10CC's second album and the last one with the original lineup...Godley and Creme left after this one was recorded..
i find these guys to be very strange...gotta be totally in the mood for this, and thankfully i was this time round...
a good collection of tracks from one of the most innovative groups from the mid to late nineteen seventies.
just for your info,, the opening track is an instrumental, i like it which is a bit of a surprise LOL!
