MACHINE HEAD - MACHINE F**KING HEAD LIVE (2012)
I love this band! Machine Head (where did they get that name ???..lol) have been together off and on for over 20 years!
Pure straight ahead very heavy metal rock music at its' best ! A rousing live set over 100 minutes long. The band is from Oakland, California and to its" credit , listed by NME as one of the best live bands today of any genre!

It's all about Extreme music I guess, as you know I do not listen to metal only, J! I listen to obnoxious metal when I'm out walking...it gets me pumped and adrenalised! I listen to all sorts of sounds ...some of it is music!...lol ...check out Contact of Sound..very good prog ...with Phil Collins' son ! also I know you'd like The Tangent...anything by them....there's a lot of great prog music out there my friend!...look at my New Prog Music thread !

PANTERA - Vulgar Display of Power (1992)

These four lads from Texas can churn out good melodic high energy hard rock...metal I guess? Led by the guitar of the late Dimebag Darrell, reminiscent of Metallica and Motorhead...hard driving music that would be fabulous in a live setting!

For those of you thinking this may be a bit hard for the old Music Head, you are probably right. I
understand it is quite tame compared to other metal out there, but it's still heavy for me. Tennessee
band was formed in 1994 and this is their second album. A local hit in 1996 with Shimmer got them a
Sony contract. Debut album in '98 included that song which got them national attention. This album
brought them their first chart entry with the track Hemorrhage in at #30, and the album peaking at
#17, and remains their best selling. Three tracks for me that I can't get my small brain around, but
the rest pass, giving the album a low passing grade.
I LIKE THIS ALBUM
