Crazy-Horse, I have about 15 years or so senior on you mate! Just curious how and why you were attracted to The Beatles and also their solo careers? You were only about two or three when they split up. Perhaps Macca and Wings opened the doors for you....great stuff any road!

my mun had the first four Beatle album, used to play them all the time, i loved songs like "please mr.postman", "love me do", "hard hays night", "all my loving"

so i grew up listening to them...

wasnt until 78ish i started listening actively...

we also had a neighbour who was a fanatic of all things Beatle/solo, i used to go and listen to an album after school(didnt matter whether it was a Beatle or one of their solo sets...Paul's music stood out to me...i was hooked on The Fab Four...

at the time i thought John's stuff was a bit weird, George's was a bit boring,Ringo's okay but Paul's was rock orientated...
first album i bought by one of those guys was McCartneyII,then Ringo's "stop and smell the roses",George's "somewhere in england" then they came out with "beatle ballads" and "john lennon collection", so ive really been hooked since 1979-80ish i guess...
oh yeh, i bought John's "starting over" single the day before he died....

first cd i bought was "sgt peppers" when it was released in 1987, also got Dire Straits "making movies" and Dylan's "infidels" on the same day...

hope this helps SteveO....
