sorry SteveO, but as much as i like The Beatles...
how many 'awards' and bits of 'recognition' do they really need??? theyve got it all! just seems like the Grammy's have thought "we've got 20minutes of time to fill in,lets honor the Beatles with something else" its just seems pointless to me, and the acts who are doing the tribute...well, theyre not real 'legends' IMO...or have any connection to the Fab Four whatsoever, except maybe Dave Stewart who was a friend of George's. personally, i think they should do a tribute to people like Little Richard,Fats Domino,Jerry Lee and Chuck Berry as those guys have never recieved the real recognition they deserve as the forerunners of rock and roll(and at least theyre still alive to appreciate it)

I agree to disagree! They are marking the upcoming 50th Anniversary of The Beatles invasion in the US (9 Feb 2014). It's not a "filler"....Even though the artists are not household names I am still looking forward to it! It will still be better than any of the other crap!!!!..lol

it will be good for the show if Paul,Ringo are there, but they wont get a grest perrframce out of Macca...his voice is shot,canbarely hold a note now...time to bow out gracefully Sir Paul!
not so sure about Dhani and Julian being a part of it... i know Julian still feels bitter about how John neglected him his whole life and wasnt included inhis will(for which the Lennon Estate did make an undisclosed monetary token gesture to Jules a few years later..whichhe gave to charity because he didnt want "dads dirty money"! Dhani appears to stay out of the limelight just like George, so i dont think he'd turn up either.

I was jesting...lol! I would never expect Julian and Dhani to play with Paul and Ringo!!!!! Ideal time would have been when George was alive and it would have been interesting to see them play with Julian. Do you know if Paul and Ringo will just be watching the tribute or if they will actually be performing? The Kennedy tributes to Macca, Buddy Guy and Led Zeppelin shows them in the audience only!
