Correct, Steve, but I didn't post for them--I posted for me and you and all the members who have joined since the OP. Win-win.
Another "you make me..." song--a bit different:

There was a time in the early '80's when gay players were prominent in Disco (not surprising--Disco started in gay bathhouses and clubs--see Bette Midler for details). Anyway in Britain Bronski Beat, The Communards and Marc Almond were The Thing (Mr. Somerville was with/ was the leader of all 3). A bit too, er, flamboyant for some but superior dance music that, as you can see, has stood the test of time. Here's a charming bit of a clip, JS being long past the glory years:

Somerville was NOT the leader of Marc Almond...Almond was having hits with Soft Cell in the UK and may have already gone solo prior to Bronski Beat/Somerville coming along.
Marc Almond had a huge #1 hit in the UK with a cover of Gene Pitney's "something's gotten hold of my heart", with Pitney...

We are talking past each other a bit, due to my using a slash instead of "or". They sure appeared together in Bronski Beat (might've been a special guest appearance by Mr. Almond), whoever was leading:

He may not have been officially a part of Bronski Beat but they appeared together at least on one occasion:
