Been there and am in the process with my own family. They are just determined to make a mess of their lives with addictions and other things better left unsaid.

Another pet peeve that I have is people who don't know how blessed they are to even have the ability to lie about losing their family members. In the last five years, I have lost a grand total of 19 people and most of them were family members. My most recent loss of the 19 was just a week ago.

Pulling up to a stoplight in my SUV and the lane next to me has a 50'ish guy in an open-top convertible, wearing a thong and adjusting... Jay-sus, have you no modesty, Mr. Deutscher? At least none have looked at me and given a wink...
