I understand it to be about the monetization of religion. How they've turned it into a business and forgotten what it all really means. Countless references to money - collection boxes/rich and poor etc. etc. Just my opinion but that's what I take from it.

Strawbs - Deadlines. Not as good as the classic 'Hero & Heroine' but still has some fine moments, The Last Resort being my favourite.

In a word (albeit a very small one) - no. Don't necessarily dislike them all but nothing I hear now is anything new. It's all just a rehash of what has already been. (Including my own dabblings & experiments) - the one exception was SteveO's recco - Anathema - that has something that sounds like someone is at least TRYING to do something different.

Quite the compliment, thanks J man! As you know (after telling me), they have a new album out in June! I am looking forward to it!

One of the few purchases I will make this year. Still waiting for the 'new wave' - it's coming - I just don't know when. And not a moment too soon either.

Not a clue - Been through a couple of phases folk, reggae, 70's prog, electronica, classical, world and ambient. Do not care for country, rap, house/techno junk, metal, disco or traditional inky-plinky-plonky, mumbo jumbo like traditional Irish or South African music. Those last two really get on my nerves. It's just the same phrase over and over and over.
