Hi there good people of MD. I'm completely new here so if there is already a thread like this, someone please point me in the right direction and I will post this there. Anyway this is a thread about music artists that have been able to get progressively better with each of their album releases or at least have been able to maintain a high level of standard with them. I've come to notice this in a couple of the music artists I follow. CunninLynguists and Rebelution I'll mention here. They have time and time again impressed me, not only with the music they create but have been able to take to new heights with each album release.
So if anyone could help out I would really appreciate it. The artists can be from any genre.

Welcome aboard the great MD, mr listener! From the title of the bands you mentioned , it must me metal? Interesting thread in the right section by the way! I have no idea about bands or artist improving with age but I will contribute when I think of some! It's an interesting thread!

Yeah that's a really good question, I really can't think of any right off the top of my head. I guess Queensryche got better and better, until after Empire they started to decline pretty rapidly. Operation Mindcrime and Empire are both great hard rock/metal albums. Their stuff before that is all good too, but I think most would agree that those two take the cake.

Actually, Opeth! I can't believe I didn't think of them, one of my favorite bands... They definitely just got better and better in every way, and are still doing it!

Wow!! Did not expect to get replies on this thread anytime soon. I think I'm going to enjoy this forum! I have, so far picked up the debut albums of both the artists recommended. Bill Nelson, "Northern Dream" and Opeth, "Orchid." I have to admit, I enjoyed them as much as I would a serving of choc chip ice-cream. And that's a helluva lot. Look forward to picking up more of their albums. It seems my request is a bit of a head scratcher, so I'll swing a few of the artists I think fit this section at you guys. Though I'll dedicate an entire post to each of the artists, once I learn the fine art of attaching youtube vid links.
And as for the "Youths" question. A requirement to be a cunning linguist, is to have stunning english.

I am a die hard Opeth fan! Saw them live and they did not disappoint! They have a new album Pale Communion out in August...this is a song from it...reminds me of Crosby Stills and Nash in some instances with a great Yes feel!

Yea that's true :tongue: the only one i can kinda mention is David Bowie but i can't really say his music has gotten better, i would say it hasn't declined. i honestly think he can create another space oddity or life on mars at any time. i have to admit i haven't listened to his latest album 'the next day' but i had the one before that 'Reality' and it was really good.
