Ramases - Glass Top Coffin. Thought I would revisit this - used to listen to this stoned out of my head in my youth. Funny, but it just does not make any impact at all now. I have a funny feeling I forgot to switch on the speakers all those years ago and was probably listening to the man next door mowing the lawn. Aaaah, but the meaning I found in that Garden of Eden was beyond description................

Right - head out of the clouds time. Someone here mentioned Chris Rea recently. My favourite by him must be Curse of the Traveller. And he did some amazing work on later albums. Going to have a stab at 'The Blue Café' - something I bought years ago but never really got into. Just in the mood for that sort of thing today.

![]() PETER CRISS "let me rock you" cd, 1982 solo career stats: studio albums............5 singles......................5 this album...no chart entry singles: "tears".......no chart entry ex-KISS drummer Criss' third solo album.... very little one here to champion im afraid.... even the songs that make the "like" grade really just scrape in... now,Peter was a superb balladeer with KISS,tracks like "beth","hard luck woman" etc are classics, even his first two solo albums are excellent IMO... they had a good mix of ballads and rock material, this one, lacks all of that, the songs are lame, theres no real melody attached to anything, Criss' vocals are terrible and uninspired to say the least... he even covers Lennon's "jealous guy",which should have suited his vocal style and he should have nailed it....but he didnt for some weird reason... the album wasnt even released in the US initially, with only a Euro release, the album didnt chart anywhere... i have linked the best and worst tracks here, and really, theres not much between them, thats how lame this one is IMO all up Peter "the catman" Criss used up a life with this one! I DO NOT LIKE THIS ALBUM worst track: jealous guy best track: first day in the rain 1. let it go ** 2. tears ** 3. move on over * 4. jealous guy * http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q_GNIPKd66E audio 5. destiny * 6. some kinda hurricane * 7. let me rock you ** 8. first day in the rain ** http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lJP0UR0dxnY audio 9. feel like heaven ** 10.bad boys * 3s=0 2s=5 1s=5 rating: 1.5

Graham Nash's Earth and Sky. Acquired on vinyl some time ago! There's an impressive cast of contributors on this album. Love the Hawaiian guitar (David Lindley).

Kansas - has to be one of my favourite live albums ever. The band were at their peak when they recorded this. http://youtu.be/GHDnNAn1cC0

![]() PETER CRISS "criss-cat #1" cd, 1994 solo career stats: studio albums............5 singles......................5 this album: no chart action singles: "good times"....no chart action ex-KISS drummer Peter Criss' fourth studio album... more of the same old lame crap on this as with "let me rock you" and "one for all"... again, a very uninspired piece of work... one cover version on this one...a cover of his own "beth"...dont without the orchestral music like the original KISS "destroyer" version, this time its acoustic with fellow KISS outcast Ace Frehley plucking the strings...its not bad,but i still prefer the original 1976 version. two other ballads on here i like in "good times" which centres around a marriage breakup(presumably his own), and an autobiographical account of finding out his mum was dying in "blue moon over brooklyn" and him being way over in LA... both of those are cool songs as is the forementioned "beth", but the other eight tracks....forget 'em. its a shame really, because i always like Criss' KISS songs and thought he was a great balladeer with Rod Stewart type raspy vocals. I DO NOT LIKE THIS ALBUM worst track: bad people burn in hell best track: blue moon over brooklyn tracks: 1. bad attitude * 2. walk the line * 3. the truth * 4. bad people burn in hell * 5. show me * 6. good times ** http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uQXf3BXVRvg audio 7. strike * 8. blue moon over brooklyn ** http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Icpuv0N--3s audio 9. down with the sun * 10.we want you * 11.beth ** http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AaI97Q5K30c live(KISS MTV-unplugged) 3s=0 2s=3 1s=8 rating: 1.3
