Boston ska band that made it big with this album. Surprised it has gone platinum and remains their best selling album. It is the only one to
even crack the top 30 and that first single hit #1 on the Modern Rock chart. Gave them enough incentive to keep it going all these years. Not
sure if they should have as their last 3 albums have not even hit the chart. Not sure if I liked this more when I bought it but it didn't do
much this time around. This lead guy has a terrible voice for me. Hope he doesn't read this.

I’m listening to Adrian Belew’s ‘Mr Music Head’. He seems to dive headlong and with large helpings of humour into all his projects, at least that’s the impression I get! Love the abundant energy which is so evident in his work, and although he comes across as quite casual and quirky, the man is a sound genius. This album is filled with sonic departures that ask you in a decisive, yet undemanding way, to pay attention ... and is never boring.

just got round to hearing Mighty Mighty Bosstones...
i havent heard those two singles since they were released, got heaps of airplay here, i didnt like them much then and still dont(theyre passable though)...

same as you on the vocals MH....
to me Ska vocals have to have that carribean sound/accent to be authentic...
to me, the best Ska bands were:

The Specials aka Special AKA
The Beat (british beat)
Madness
Desmond Dekker

bits of Bad Manners music was ok also...

real Ska died in the early 1980s IMO
