Grammy Award in 1994 for Best Metal Performance for I Don't Want To Change The World
Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame in 2006 with Black Sabbath
from my library (cd)
Producer: various
3rd compilation album - #13 US, #68 UK
Prefer the Sabbath years but Ozzy on his own merits a good compilation. But on his own is like a watered down Sabbath. This one covers 9 albums
and 14 years. Nice packaging with Ozzy's brief comment on each one. The original release of this was a 2 cd set containing 5 new tracks. I must
have a reissue or else they shorted me 1 cd. Only one new track on mine which is at the end. They include 2 Sabbath songs at the start of this,
early demos of well known tracks, to suck in them Sabbath fans. Fav track for me was written as a farewell to Black Sabbath.
I LIKE THIS ALBUM
Worst Track - I Don't Want To Change The World

I admit I'm not much of a metal man, but the crisp production with Tools progressive sound on Lateralus provides me with those much needed head banging moments. I find the music in this album quite enjoyable, creating a surreal atmosphere that places you in relative tranquility, then teleports you to a state of vibrant wildness. And while I did enjoy Maynards singing (any metal really that doesn't yell at me as if I'm not paying attention) and lyrical prowess, it still took a back seat to amazing music contained on this album.

I'm in the mood for Doom! Since it probably won't last long, I should post it while I'm feeling it!
