The Left Coast has a deserved rep for emphasizing the cooler, less frenetic side of Jazz in the '50's and '60's (Stan Getz, Chet Baker, Charlie Byrd) though they could burn when it suited. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fZ5HcGI5IPA << They had singers too
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DBvHv0VNz6o << Always dug this tune << From when they had "Jazz" in their name
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q5KJhX2uDoM << What a master of 6 strings!
NOTE: Putting this together is as much fun as I've had in awhile--had to listen to all 35, didn't I?
