Hi, I'm new to this forum board, so I don't know if this scenario has popped up in a thread already.
I was wondering if someone can help me with this.
So, I work at a music store as a part time retail sales associate. One of my jobs is to help the store get more lesson students.
At the same time, I teach private guitar (and soon) piano lessons on the side (I don't have a degree or anything like that, I just teach what I know, and I've been doing this for the past 4-5 years, kinda on and off). And I'm getting my own students on the side using Thumbtack (a couple here and there.)
I know it might seem a bit ridiculous, but I feel like I have to choose between one or the other, like I'm going behind the store's back or something. Have any of you all been in a situation like this? (music teachers (degree or non-degree), but anyone is welcome to answer.)
If you guys could help me, that would be great. It's been racking my brain since I started working there. Thanks!
