I am going back a long time but maybe someone can help. I am trying to get the date that Gerry & the Pacemakers played in Auckland in 1964. it was in April sometime the concert was called the Liverpool sound show featuring Gerry & the Pacemakers, Gene Pitney, Dusty Springfield and Brian Poole & the Tremeloes. any help I can get would be much appreciated. I cannot find anything on the net. To show my age I was there but the date escapes me.

Yes, they used to put on shows like that in those days. You'd pay a fortune to see a lineup comparable to that now, and that's even allowing for inflation. Either that, or go to a music festival and sit (or stand) through several dozen acts you have no interest in, just to catch the ones you do.
Just as a matter of interest, why do you want to know the exact date? You already pinned it down to April 1964, that's pretty specific.

I've tried looking for dates for you but came up with nothing, only April 1964...
I suggest you could contact a local "golden oldies" radio station in NZ, maybe they, or their listeners could help you out?

I know, with a line up like that one would think there would be something written down somewhere. Even the sites for the band invoved show nothing about the N.Z. side of the tour only the Australian side.

my dad saw Beatles, Kinks, Who, Stones and Manfred Mann at a show at the 'local dance hall' in Bedford UK back in 1962 a week or two after Beatles
released their debut single "love me do", the others hadn't released anything at that time....now that was history in the making!
he also saw a Motown package show in 1964..

The best concert bargain of my life was undoubtedly the all-day "Mid-Summer Music" event at London's Wembley stadium in June 1975. Elton John was the headlining act, and for the second half of his set he played the newly-released Captain Fantastic album in its entirety. Other acts on the bill were The Beach Boys, The Eagles, Rufus feat. Chaka Khan, and Stackridge.
Cost for the show: 3.5 pounds.
You would pay many times that amount to just buy a souvenir ticket stub on eBay now.
I still have the souvenir program, and could probably sell it now for about $100, but I think I'll hang on to it.
