"Sgt Pepper" turns 50 in June...
and to celebrate the milestone there is a super deluxe edition of the album about to be released...

Newly mixed from the original four-track tapes, most of the material is previously unreleased. I can't believe experimental concept albums used to be in the pop charts
I know that this is an iconic album for many people but I just don't 'get it'. I do like some Beatles tracks but this album just does not do it for me. Still I have to admit it's a whole lot more creative than 90% of what's out there at the moment.

I'm waiting for the next Jean Michel Jarre/Pink Floyd/Jethro Tull/Yes/ELP/Kansas/Vangelis to arrive but I don't see anyone on the horizon. Maybe I should have my eyes tested......
