Yes, Chris has overcome Pancreatic Cancer by having it along with his gall bladder being removed and on dozens of tablets a day with injections but its still not good...

lets hope he recovers because I don't want another of my musical giants/idols etc to go die this year...

^Oh no! sounds horribly like it might have been a stroke.  Sad

He's been a real trooper - one of the good guys, not to mention having made some wonderful albums.
