hi guyes, i am a iranian guitar player. i studyed pharmacy in iran but since my love is music i desided to study music and also move to canada. . i prefer a 2 year program because i am already 26 and also i have lot of experience in composing and performing music so i dont want to waste my time on things that i know i dont need or i already know. i like jazz, electronic R&B, film music and ect. i am more into composing areas in music but also do like to perform and emprovise somethimes. i feel like i am more into a flexible jazz or composition kind of program with an open enviroment to be your self and explore your own sound.
so wich univercity and program do you suggest in canada?
what about humber collage?

^Welcome to the forum. Not sure anyone here will be able to help you with your question - possibly SteveO.
Any favourite artists? Music from your country you would like to introduce to us?

you don't need to go to music school to be a good musician mate....
I remember a Paul McCartney piece I read years ago...
he was asked to give a speech at some music/performing arts school/university in his home town of Liverpool and one of the things he told the students was (and I hope I quote him accurately) went something like "music comes from the heart, its a feeling, an emotion. look at all the great rock musicians, they never had formal training they taught themselves how to play instruments and write songs. all these places can do is possibly hone what is inside you, it cannot be learnt, it cannot be taught, you either have it in you or you don't, and that goes with anything in the arts fields"
needless to say, his speech was not what the faculty expected him to say, that said,, that was roughly what he said and only a small part of his talk.
