Spotify listen:

I hear you say its been 45 years since his only hit "streets of London" was in the charts,
but I tell you, this is his forty sixth studio album so he is still here...
my mum is/was a huge fan of Ralph and owns as many albums of his as she does albums by Dylan
so im more than aware of this guys back catalogue...
still a good storyteller, lovely melodies...
a good album for someone fifty one years into a recording career...

a selection from the album:

^You've been busy CH! Lots of listening. I have not had time to touch sides. The joys of committees - should'a known better. Been there before! Oh well - keeps me out of trouble!  Rolleyes

I know very little of Ralph McTell's work except his Easy record and "Streets of London", of course. The new album popped up on Spotify and I listened to some the other day - reminds me so much of Roger Whittaker. Didn't get to the whole thing but one track stood out for me - strangely enough, an old one - "Clear Water". Could be because it's somehow familiar and that I've heard it and it was relegated to the recesses of my weary mind which brightened up on hearing something it recognised.  Big Grin

Anyway - whatever it was - here's that one ...

had there not been a link for any of the links I made then Clear Water would have been included...
so, sounds like Whittaker...
I was thinking he was starting to look a bit like Mr Young

^As long as he doesn't start sounding like him! His latest efforts at any rate. Lol!
Seriously love Neil Young's earlier stuff. Can seldom be bothered to listen to what he's up to of late.
