been looking forward to this one ever since it was announced a year or so ago...
Tony's 66th, Gaga's 7th, their second together...
this is where Gaga showcases her talents IMO...
a covers album, all Cole Porter composed tunes, jazz/blues/bigband stuff throughout...
Gaga's voice flits between the power of Amy and the frailty of Garland depending on the track...
Bennett sounds frail at times (but he is 95) yet enthusiastic and flirtatious as they trade lines...
a good way for Bennett to end his career (with his failing health and retirement from live shows)
and another arrow in the bow of Gaga's arsenal...
excellent, excellent album
as good as the 'cheek to cheek' album from six or so years ago....
