ok, to be nosey, has anyone here ever gone back to school as a mature student?
I have been toying with the idea of going back to school and getting my masters degree (i would be specialising again in Entertainment, and Music Law) but am unsure, although i still do not want to go and actually practice law.. the reasoning i gave it up to begin with still stands and i love working in theatre.

Went back at around age 25, majoring in computer science, only to renew my drop out status (first was high school), when the required public speaking came around. I already had my foot in the door.

Nice to be able to go back to trust and friendship!!!!!!!!!
It's a mixed up sensation this being alive
Oh! it wears a man down into the ground
It's the strangest elation
I can't describe it
Oh it leaves a man weary

My advice would be to write down a sentence about why you want to do the Masters.
Then write another sentence describing why you want to stay as you are.
Then rub them out, & scratch your head.
Seriously though, the public speaking thing can quite easily be overcome. Throw yourself out of your comfort zone a few times, and you soon realise that although it's not pleasant, nobody died. Then it gets easier, and can become a bit addictive.
Anyhow, who am I to offer career advice to someone who's vastly more qualified than I'll ever be.

Good idea. Having a masters degree is definitely something to be proud of.

That depends on how much pride costs.

come on guys...i'm a hanson fan, i have no pride :biggrin1:
as a female of the species it is our right to be indecisive sometimes, i mean we have to try to sort out understanding you male types (a 2 day no text or call rule? what kind of idiot thought that up....oh yeah, a man :tongue
lol, and my main reason for wanting to go back is because i find it interesting, the case law especially and that i worry that my brain is becoming numb and that i need to learn more!!!
lol, its not really about the qualification, i mean i was 6 weeks from getting my licence to practice law before i quit....and don't regret it.
