this was recorded june 21st 1977,less than 2 months before Elvis apparently kicked the bucket??
it is the best version ever of this song(im gonna cop abuse for saying it).
you can see the pain in his eyes,the physical exhaustion, and the faultless rendition of a classic song. every now and then, watch the glances and the smile on his face as he knows he has nailed the song. the audience response at the end sends shivers up my spine whenever i watch this,ive even been known to shed a tear or two....such a waste of a great talented vocalist and to end up looking a sad parody of his former self.
like Michael Jackson, a true proffessional on stage to the bitter end.
