Hi Peachy, unfortunately the only one of the above that I know is Prodigy, aand I'm not a great fan of theirs. If I knew more about this genre, I'd endeavour to help...

check out early British techno pioneers LFO - nearly all of their tracks have heavy bassline. Get an album of theirs called 'Frequencies' and you'll see what I mean.

Another that comes to mind is Murder was the Bass by DK8 but it's Hard Trance and may not be to your tastes.

I know this is not going to be popular but a word of warning. Because of the acoustic properties of modern car design the worst thing you can possibly do is play any music with heavy bass in you car. Yeah I know it's cool and it creates a great vibe but wave goodbye to your hearing in later life. Better start saving up for your hearing aids. You're going to need them.

Steve Rot has a song called My Favorite Goal. Its a drum and bass song with bass guitar. I read that all the harmonies and the solo were done on bass even though they sound like guitars. So cool! Its on his myspace if you wnanna hear http://www.myspace.com/steverot

To fully understand the Drum n Bass Music you need to understand what DnB is and where it came from. First off Drum n Bass or DnB evolved from Jungle music. The difference between Jungle Music and Drum n Bass Music is widely debated. As a junlge DJ I usually tell people that Jungle Music started in the early 90's and stemmed from reggae/dub/dancehall music, References to 'Jungle', 'Junglists' and 'Jungle music' can be found throughout dub, reggae and dancehall genres from that era up until today.Drum n Bass dj Marky DnB / Drum n Bass came a bit later. DnB or Drum n' Bass Music is termed so because the heavy drums and bass are what define the genre. There are almost always other bits of synth, pad, vocal, movie samples ect. spread throughout Drum n Bass tunes, but these are not the defining charactersitics.A few Drum N Bass MusiciansThe following is the current ranking for DnB DJ's at (Link removed) The Heel Toe TechniqueThe heel-toe technique not only allows you to play doubles with ease, but it also allows you to play them with speed and precision that just cannot be achieved without it. You can use it with two pedals to play double strokes rolls, or on one pedal to connect fast hand-to-feet combinations. I still come up with new ways of implementing it on a regular basis.
