Generally I think people base what they listen to at a particular time on the mood they are in. I do this all the time. Post a song that describes your mood right now. It doesn't have to be lyrically associated but the general sound and feeling it creates inside you.

Guess I'm one of those ungeneral contrary types.
My mood has no affect on what I listen to.
However, what I listen to does have an affect on my mood.
I just listened to Barry Manilows Paradise Cafe so my mood is dazed.
I like to think it was the music but maybe not.

I'm in the music changes mood camp, not mood decides music.

i know when ive had a bad day and things have gone wrong because the first thing i do when i get home is put on the headphones with the volume up and release my tensions that way
