Helmet has influenced so many bands from Norma Jean to Deftones to Limp Bizkit To Soulfly, Don't you think so? I hear So many bands doing the drop tunings now and I gotta say Helmet had their guitars dropped back in the early 90s. whats the deal with everyone biting off them but never giving due credit, beside the bands i have mentioned which DO cite helmet.

I'm not familiar with Helmet, but musical plagiarism has been around since the dawn of time. Those Classical composers were all at it...

The master of drop tunings is Ry Cooder! Check out the music for the movie Baghdad Cafe. And I seem to remember Duane Allman doing something similar.
