During my exciting musical journey I have listened to several artists that use vocal singing without lyrics or words (called Vocalese , I believe). Groups like Dead Can Dance and Cocteau Twins are a couple of examples. There are also hundreds of new world, ambient, instrumental groups that use this effect.
I was wondering if the members could recommend some of their choices ?

Focus ! Pierre van der Linden made a point of using lyric less vocals on all the albums he was the vocalist on !
Nice to be able to go back to trust and friendship!!!!!!!!!

It's the strangest elation
I can't describe it

I think I remember you saying somewhere that you like Sigur Ros, Steve. If I'm wrong, they're well worth checking out.
They're an Icelandic Post-Rock band. I have their Agaetis Byrjun, ( ), & Takk albums, and they're all excellent. The vocals are in a made-up language, Hopelandic.
Also, Bowie's song Subterraneans from the Low album is sung in gibberish...

Sigur Ros were already mentioned. Seefeel are another good example, most of their material is instrumental but they employ some dreamy-sounding wordless female vocals sometimes to great effect. A Sunny Day In Glasgow are another example, although I think a lot of their songs have actual lyrics you can't actually make them out.
