My favorite album would change on a daily basis !!!...lol..as I stated on a previous thread I started awhile ago.

It was Bowie's Ziggy Stardust for quite awhile but having listened to a lot of other great music since joining MD , I'm not so sure anymore !!!...lol

I have made an observation that many of the members here at MD are engrossed in late 1960s and early 1970s music! If this is a valid observation, I wonder why this is the case ?

not so sure about a favourite rock album, but its pretty hard to go past....

1. CCR albums
2. Elvis Presley "sun sessions"
3. AC/DC "back in black"
4. KISS "destroyer"
5. Led Zepplin "four symbols" aka "IV"
6. John Cougar "scarecrow"

to name a few....

also impossible to go past best of sets of:

Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Buddy Holly
"BTO....Bachman,Turner,Overweight
They were big in the 70s....for five minutes,on a Saturday,after lunch..."  -  Me 2014.

Yes steve I think that is quite true in my case i think that the music in that period was still new and a lot more experimental and perhaps a little less pidgeon holed into particular genres , now a heavy metal band will stick to one type of sound whereas led zeppelin would cross a lot of musical boundries. but saying that i love a lot of the new wave bands from the late seventies like the clash and the pistols , and also i like the indie sound for instance Jesus Jones , the Godfathers , the soup deragons , koolashaker or Supergrass .
