Hello, I am trying to remove background music from a song and keep the vocals. I only want the vocals so i can work on a dubstep remix but i cannot find the right way to do it. Audacity isnt working for me and neither is goldwave does anyone know how i can do this i would really appreciate your help.

No software in the world can do that. It's just not possible. You have to have the original stems.

You cannot remove a particular sound from a recording without removing the same frequencies from the sound you want to keep. It's just not possible. And Goldwave is a Mickey Mouse audio program only good for beginners. Look at Samplitude Pro 11 if you want a real audio editor with real power.

You have to block out the lower frequencies.. It wonât cut all instruments completely, but itâll be pretty close. Check it out on YouTube, Iâd send you a link but I donât know which program you use.
