I wouldn't be a true blue Canadian if I didn't recognise the passing of a true Canadian music legend! Stompin" Tom Connors left us last week. He was a down to earth character that didn't have much time for small talk. Most of his songs were pure Canadiana. He was popular with all age groups from nine to ninety! His career in country folk lasted from 1969 to present. He released 19 albums and over twenty singles. The Hockey Song and Bud the Spud are his most popular songs, Got the name "Stompin" because of his habit of stomping on a piece of plywood on stage. He will certainly be sadly missed.
