Who remembers this performer and tune - Bob - 04-01-2015 Who knows this song?It is sang by a fellow who's real name is Bruce McMeans, it was a number one hit way back in March 1962. If you go to the 1962 Wikipedia's One Hit Wonder list, Mr Chanel is listed as a one hit wonder with Hey Baby, which reached number one on March 10, 1962. I read the Wikipedia page which mentioned four hits from being as high as 52 and as low as 98 on the Billboard Top 100!
