The canadian inferno
#1
My heart goes out to all the poor souls from Fort McMurray,Alberta! A tremendous wild fire has been raging for four days now with no immediate timeline as to when the fire can be stopped! Close to 88,000 people were evacuated on Tuesday! The city is a write off...over 1600 buildings destroyed. Two deaths attributed to the disaster.

A terrible tragedy.

A tragedy indeed, but also amazing that only two deaths have been attributed to it. That's the difference organisation makes. In some countries, an event like that would have killed tens of thousands. Homes can be rebuilt, but lives lost cannot be brought back.
