Why do FM stations in the u.s. that play popular music like rock, hip hop, country, latin, ect… seem to play only certain singles from any given artists album but other singles from that same album are never as popular as certain ones? Why is that? Why is this the case? Case in point. Back in early 2000 when coldplay was just getting started in the u.s. the only singles that i remember on the radio on fm stations out in la where i was living at the time were most and pretty much yellow and trouble but all other singles from the studio album from which these two singles were released really didnt receive any much attention at least on fm stations, does this make sense? Some singles are real popular whereas to others are like pretty much dead...
