I can definitely understand this, it hurts losing loved ones. I have moments where I'm not sure how to handle it and the distance between me and them is unbearable at times. If I think about that distance too long, I get anxious and feel melancholy hit me.

I miss my Dad so much and my Grandma.
I keep trying to contact my Dad but don't know yet if he actually hears me.
It would be great if they could come back so we could see them again. If they are in a better place though who would want to come back here.
Sometimes I get suicidal because I get so tired of the problems and at this point sicknesses we go through.
I think you believe in a better place Holly so if we do we will see them again someday. Take comfort in that

If I had a superpower and could, I would fix my hubby's brain.
He is not the same man I married after having strokes.
He thinks his mom and dad are alive sometimes and live with us but he does not know me.
I would fix that.

I'm sorry to hear that.
My Grandmother has dementia and her mind has been declining quite a bit the last few months, it breaks my heart and I can't do anything about it. She seems to be in a delusion most of the time and gets angry easily which makes communicating with her a challenge so I'm careful about what I say. She's forgetting all of us, including my Grandpa and she's been eating less and less which worries me. :frown:
I think that is why I have been getting anxiety in the last few months even though I'm not naturally anxious, it's really hard to watch her decline, but I try to help my parents as much as I can with her. I hate this illness with a passion and can't wait for a cure to be found so that other people don't have to go through it. It robs a person's of their dignity and they just become like a different person, like she's becoming less and less like herself and will be like a vegetable.

He has been in the Hospital 5 times this year already but I have give up on them. They can not do anything for him.

Thank you. I keep myself updated on what's going on with current Alzheimer's and Dementia scientific and medical research. I think they are making some progress with the discovery of plaque and tau proteins issues in the brains of these patients, they might be able to make something that stops or prevents the progression of Alzheimer's or Dementia. I remember hearing recently on the radio I think it was that there might be something in the works right now that some scientists are making for them and are doing some testing trials. Fingers crossed.
My Grandmother also cries a lot and sometimes grieves. Ugh, this illness makes me feel so helpless to do much of anything and I hate that feeling.
