U.S. Presidential Race 2012 - Music Head - 13-01-2012 SteveO Wrote:Bad news when one party has conflict ! Those two men want to choke each other so bad. U.S. Presidential Race 2012 - gater - 20-01-2012 Great. I got the popcorn and beer. So when does the choking start? U.S. Presidential Race 2012 - SteveO - 20-01-2012 Santorum won the Iowa recount but it won't make a difference...looks like clear sailing for Mitt ????? I can't see him nor Newt appealing to the majority against Obama !.....maybe a close election though U.S. Presidential Race 2012 - TraceNspace - 21-01-2012 We'll see what happens in South Carolina. I didn't think Newt stood a chance in the beginning. U.S. Presidential Race 2012 - Music Head - 22-01-2012 .....and the race is on South Carolina primary results Newt Gingrich - 243,153 - 40.4% Mitt Romney - 167,279 - 27.8% Rick Santorum - 102,055 - 17.0% Ron Paul - 77,993 - 13.0% U.S. Presidential Race 2012 - Tiggi - 22-01-2012 Question, MH... Are the percentages for each state added together, or does each state count for one vote ?? U.S. Presidential Race 2012 - Music Head - 22-01-2012 Tiggi Wrote:Question, MH... neither. lol. very screwy process it's America, what can I say states are assigned what are called delegates, based on population I assume There are 2286 delegates at stake in the Republican primary. A candidate must receive 1144 delegates to get the nomination. Even more confusing, some states are winner take all, while others divide them up based on vote count. Thus far, after voting in 3 states, Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina, here is the delegate count Gingrich - 23 Romney - 19 Santorum - 12 Paul - 3 Huntsman - 2 are you now thoroughly confused? |
