Grammy nominations - CRAZY-HORSE - 03-02-2025 i see that Rolling Stones have been nominated for "best rock album" with Hackney Diamonds also Beatles are nominated for "best music video" for the brilliant video for the less than impressive "now and then" song. judging from the other nominations in both categories i hope both win. RE: Grammy nominations - James Otto Sweet Heart - 03-02-2025 Alison Krauss & Union Station are releasing a new album at the end of next month. Therefore, may they be back upon that Grammy award winning stage where they belong next year!!! God bless you and AKUS always!!! Holly (a fan of them since 1994) RE: Grammy nominations - CRAZY-HORSE - 03-02-2025 The Beatles won a Grammy for "best rock performance" for "now and then" Rolling Stones won the Grammy for "best rock album" for "hackney diamonds" RE: Grammy nominations - James Otto Sweet Heart - 05-02-2025 I didn't watch the whole show because at the end of the day, we may as well be watching a circus production instead of a music program whenever Grammy time rolls around. To me, the most important part of the show this year was when everyone that we have lost during the last twelve months were shown. Kris Kristofferson was at the beginning, Joe Bonsall of the Oak Ridge Boys was somewhere in the middle and the very last person shown was Toby Keith. God bless you and each of the impacted families always!!! Holly (a girl who forever misses Toby) P.S. Tomorrow, it will be a year since we had to let go of Toby.

Taylor's album is my favorite of hers followed by "evermore" and "folklore". i think the only overhyped artist/album was that so-called country album by Beyonce 4: i also see that Sean Ono Lennon received a Grammy for "best box set" for the mega deluxe 'cube' box set of John's "mind games" 50th anniversary album, which lets face it, was a below par album when it was released. funny how death and time changes peoples perspectives on music because people now think it is a great album. 5: i agree that there werent too many "good grammy moments" (as you put it Melope)... the highlight for me was The Rolling Stones winning for "best rock album", that was well deserved, "hackney diamonds" was a solid rock album, their best since 1980's "tattoo you" IMO RE: Grammy nominations - JeromeD - 05-02-2025 The Grammy's are a waste of time. Very little decent music and it has become totally over-hyped. Why are people getting rewarded for producing bland, formulaic crap? The awards are all ass and no class. RE: Grammy nominations - JeromeD - 05-02-2025 So true Crazy. And I just sat through 5 of the tracks from Cowboy Carter. Complete crap. How does something this bad win the Grammy's??!!?? Where has the real talent gone? RE: Grammy nominations - CRAZY-HORSE - 05-02-2025 it says a lot when artists in their 80s (Stones/Beatles) can win "best rock" awards, WTF is wrong with the industry and how the hell does Beyonce have 99 Grammy nominations and over 30 wins. ? How does something this bad win the Grammy's??!!?? Where has the real talent gone? The real music is still out there. What I want to know is if Mason Ramsey was even submitted for nomination consideration. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-PKUvTuok-I To address your first question, John Rich of the Big & Rich duo has this to say about the Grammys: Folks are asking me "how do music award shows work?" Labels/publishers all have blocks of votes. They make deals with each other "you vote for mine, we'll vote for yours" type thing. It has ZERO to do with who made the best music, thus, Beyonce with "Country album of the year." Nice, right? The same thing is true with the CMA's, ACM's, Billboard, etc...all work exactly the same. Last night, the Grammy's outed themselves in a big way. God bless you and him and Mason always!!! Holly (a girl who only loves Mason even more every day) P.S. Mason will be releasing a new song named "Live Lonely" on February 7th. |
