Linkin Park's old sound

this thing has been bugging me... is their any band out there that has a pretty similar sound to Linkin Park (their old sound, from Hybrid&Meteora), what would be the band with the closest sound, that might be... popular? don't say Korn... their good but they just share genre and some methods of music...

I don't think you'd find a band that sounds similar to Linkin Park's lite nu-metal/rap rock sound that's actually GOOD. Linkin Park is a special band in that sense. Unless you look real deep. I certainly haven't yet.
The only band that I can think of right now that fits the criteria is Limp Bizkit, and they SUCKKK.

Yeah I really love Linkin Park's old sound and still listen to their old albums sometimes, having said that their single "What I've Done" has grown on me. Is it true that they have changed all of the group members except one?

I think they have mostly the same members since Hybrid Theory. They did some changing around before the album was released and they were just playing at various venues but I think its been consistent since about 2000.

Anyway I would disagree that their new sound sucks. I do agree that their old sound is better and I like the original Hybrid Theory album much better than the newest Thousand Suns but I don't think Thousand Suns is bad. It seems a strange move for them though. They'll completely change their fan-base now going from people that like bands such as Korn, Disturbed and Mudvayne to people that like bands like Anberlin and more emo-style bands. A strange move indeed. My taste in music is quite eclectic - I appreciate a wide variety of music so I guess that's why I'm still a fan of even their new stuff.
