Beginner's Guides, concept

I agree with gryph.
I never thought we would be taking requests.
This is for every one to participate by sharing information about their favorite bands and creating a Beginners Guide.....for other members to inform themselves of something they may be interested in.
If I'm going through the effort of creating a Beginners Guide, it will be someone I think other members should know about, not what another member thinks.

It's quite a time-consuming process, checking that what you think you know is factual, finding relevant links, putting it all together.

However, the research bit is always going to be interesting. I'm going to concentrate on the stuff that I know quite well, cos I don't think you can deliver a good result without some personal experience & views. Might be an interesting process to try and do a Beginner's Guide far an artist about which you know nothing...

I'd agree that requests might prove difficult, but it might just fit with a member's musical interests and spur them on to do a guide.

I'd encourage all members to have a good go, it's an educational process of itself.
