Opinions on this performance?
#1
This is for a pseudo-survey I'm conducting. Just wanted to get the opinions of some neutral music fans on the pros and cons of the following performance. Forget which artist is performing it, purely from a musical standpoint I'd like to hear some objective thoughts.

Pros - I think Bob Dylan was there somewhere
Cons - everything else

Workman like performance of a set of people who know what they are doing but have no real spark. I note that the drummer was trying to inject a bit of pace but, the rest looked over paid and under worked!Cool
Nice to be able to go back to trust and friendship!!!!!!!!!

It's a mixed up sensation this being alive
Oh! it wears a man down into the ground
It's the strangest elation
I can't describe it
Oh it leaves a man weary
It makes a man frown.

i think you've summed it up perfectly gryphon but compared to his christmas album its a grammy winner! lol

i am a big fan of bobby, but have never liked him doing this song, even tho he wrote it, im not a fan of hendrix but his version rocks, as does U2 version on 'rattle and hum' album

I quite like this song but the above version paled in comparison to previous Dylan version I've heard. My favourite Dylan version is the one on his 90s 'MTV Unplugged' album along with Neil Young's version on the 'Road Rock' album of 2000.

i thought neil's version was ok, prefer his version of 'blowing in the wind' on 'weld'
