10 Bands I Wished Reunited
#11

Nah after their 1997 'The Dance' tour Christine McVie left the band. She wasn't in on their 2003 album and hasn't associated with them since. And I think she's left a noticeable void, particularly as she was one of the bands songwriters.

Have you ever listened to her early solo work - when she went by the name Christine Perfect ?

Yeah, I wasn't too impressed really. I only like the Mac from '75 onwards and the only stuff I like prior to '75 is the Buckingham Nicks album. But I still think Fleetwood Mac is one of those bands where the whole is greater than the sum of the parts.....

I enjoyed the double album Black Magic Woman with Pete Green....fabulous in your face blues ..pre '75. I pretty much like their entire catalogue with Danny Kirwan, Bob Welch, Jeremy Spencer et all... Bare Trees, Then Play On, Albatross....one of the greatest instrumentals , Kiln House and onwards !..very versatile groups...it was good to see them get "mainstream" recognition with Rumours.

Before Rumours, Mac were really only appreciated and recognised in Europe...unfortunately !
