A recommendation - try Roxy Music's 'The High Road' - a masterpiece.
'The purpose of life is a life of purpose' - Athena Orchard.

im assuming this is a thread to post superb live albums mate???!!!!

so here goes(in no particular order)....

try Bruce Springsteen's "london calling" blueray/dvd from 2011...a full three and a half hour show from the UK, sublime stuff IMO

1. Neil Young & Crazy Horse's "rust never sleeps" dvd...CH at their best(half acoustis Neil, then vamped up CH from 1978)
sugar mountain http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vGI5wGp2tXA
welfare mothers http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nnNIwxkDKxw

2. Neil Young's "heart of gold" movie...acoustic show from the Ryman Theatre,Nashville 2005...great stuff
heart of gold http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U_0oVOS3LC4
harvest moon http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y-N5lfNPLnY

3. Green Day's "bullet in a bible" live dvd...great great live gig

good riddance(time of your life) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ofk7_VCYZpU

4. KISS...their Melbourne concert with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra...great to see strings added in places, and the musicians and conductor all wear KISS make-up...priceless IMO.
great expectations http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zziv56hKH_A
love gun http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Oa6atjMY...re=related

5. Paul Weller "live in braehead"...filmed in braehead scotland...electric performance, sound problems the night before this was filmed irked Weller into a frenzy on stage, so hyped was he that he split his lip on his mic during one song...intensifying his frustrations further.
a bullet for everyone http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9zqnPCGdYZ4
standing out in the universe http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SRF0FoLSI...re=related

Paul McCartney & Wings "wings over america"

great live album(triple vinyl, double cd), i dont recommend the cd version, sounds to0 condensed and 'bass' is way too high, virtually impossible to tone it down enough with the equalizer...vinyl is brilliant though

KISS "alive"

from 1975...those guys really were on top of their game live back then, avoid "alive 2" from 1977, over produced and over dubbed" doesnt even sound live, "alive 3" not much better than "2", but "alive 4-kiss-symphony" is a very good recording IMO
