MICHAEL JACKSON & THE JACKSON 5 "the motown years" cd, 2008:

disc #3:

sixteen tracks on this, the third and final disc in the three disc set...
by this time the Jackson 5 had become The Jacksons and little Michael was not so small,
he was starting to forge ahead with a solo career...
although the songs have a dance/disco feel to them they are more mature than the previous two discs..
nothing I dislike on this one...
and when you play a set like this its good to see the progression of an artist as a singer and writer...
Michael was streets ahead of his brothers as a writer and singer by 1977, and really, he was the only one
ever going to make it on his own, give him another five years and he was to be the biggest thing in music since Elvis Presley and Beatles, infact,
he'd be rich enough to buy the rights to, and own, the Beatle catalogue!

I LIKE THIS DISC

The music is good but the lyrics are amateurish.

I agree... but I liked the composition..I mean it's done nicely

Yes I agree, the composition is good, but the lyrics sound like they were written by a naive schoolgirl. It's just a bit too sickly sweet for my taste but I can see why people would like it. As an alternaive listen to Amanda Joy's music and lyrics and she's only 17. I bought her debut album and her lyrics are the best thing I have heard in years. If I remember correctly her album is called 'Isle of Memories' - check it out. Cannot believe these lyrics came from a 17 year old girl. Simply stunning stuff.

RACHAEL KANE "appetite" cd, 2004

this is not the album cover art,
I cannot locate it on the usual four or five places I get my pictures/images from on the http://WWW....
so I found a pic of her to suffice....
"allmusic" has no info on her at all, only that this album exists,no reviews or info even on there...
anyway,
its pop, I hear Gwen Stefani in her quieter moments on this one,
a decent allround pop album, nothing great, but equally nothing bad,
just hoping I can at least find a link from YT, whether its my favourite or not is another matter...

I LIKE THIS ALBUM
