I may have posted this clip here previously but my aged memory fails me.
There’s a link between music and eye-candy today that often sees more creativity invested in the visuals than the music, sometimes like in this example spectacularly so. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=99ZMmCtF...freload=10 Then there are sometimes examples that hit the market where the music and the visuals are equally brilliant and fully in tune with each other. This take on an old Simon and Garfunkle tune is frighteningly brilliant. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u9Dg-g7t...e=youtu.be Some bubble-gum pop (Disco?) from the early 80’s. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DUJhpbB8MsQ

![]() JENNY MORRIS "shiver" cd, 1989. Kiwi singer second album of six. her biggest seller, multi-platinum in Australia/New Zealand. only one I own plus a compilation, I should own more. the numero uno Australasian female pop/rock vocalist IMO. most tracks co-written with Farris Brothers (INXS) or with Paul Kelly. a classy album of catchy pop/soft rock tunes. I LOVE THIS ALBUM

![]() THE HOUSEMARTINS "the people who grinned themselves to death" cd, 1987. UK indi-pop band second album of two. I own both. songs have a light jingle-jangle happy feel to them but the lyrics can be quite sarcastic. lots of social conscience messages also. some controversy with some of the lyrics in the UK surrounding their criticism of the Royal Family. the band only ever intended to release two albums and split regardless of how successful they were. one of the band members, Norman Cook, ended up changing his stage name to Fat Boy Slim, the others formed a band called Beautiful South. I LOVE THIS ALBUM the singles: Five Get Over Excited https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JGYofWnTueQ video Me And The Farmer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KLOyF50wlBU video Build https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IMPMiLddsuE video favourite: lyrics: They smiled so much and waved their flags As she saluted to the military band Most of the people failed to see She had a broken bottle in the other hand And she took them by surprise When she took them by the throat And said "My friend you're not allowed to vote" But they shook it all off With a nervous laugh and cough "Next time," she said "I'll let those people choke" The people who grinned themselves to death Smiled so much they failed to take a breath And even when their kids were starving They all thought the queen was charming She polished all upon the wall And ran her hands right through her hair So if the lady took the time to call All the houses on the street would not compare And she thought it really funny That she hadn't any money But those she looked up to, they had But they shook it all off With a nervous laugh and cough And when they took her riches it was sad The people who grinned themselves to death Smiled so much they failed to take a breath And even when their kids were starving They all thought the queen was charming

![]() PRINCE "the very best of prince" cd, 2001 always hard to pigeonhole this dude IMO. pop/dance seems to cover him okay though. Geez, had no idea the dude released 39 studio albums! seventeen track compilation obviously not definitive but adequate as it does contain probably his best known hits up to that point so I guess you cant be disappointed when listening to it. I LOVE THIS ALBUM I don't think I have a favourite track by him so heres a random one I picked:
"BTO....Bachman,Turner,Overweight
They were big in the 70s....for five minutes,on a Saturday,after lunch..." - Me 2014.

![]() LIONEL RICHIE "back to front" cd, 1992 his first compilation. seventeen tracks, some solo, some Commodores and three new ones. was never a huge fan of him or the Commodores even though im a huge Motown fan, he has always just irked me for some reason. a couple I love on here, the rest are a mix of like/dislikes. I LIKE THIS ALBUM a no brainer for best track IMO

![]() TAYLOR SWIFT "1989" cd, 2014 her fifth of seven. im sure you can all correctly guess how many I own LOL. transition from country balladeer to pop sensation now complete. at this stage she is now officially the current biggest selling artist in the world. these songs are of a personal nature like most of her stuff. dealing with love, heartache/heartbreak, trust/mis-trust etc. very good solid collection of toe-tapping pop, as good any pop album made. her favourite of mine. I LOVE THIS ALBUM could have picked any one of the handful of mega hits off this one but ive gone with the single that wasn't a huge hit but I still love it: cool live version:
