NEW AND NOTABLE: upcoming albums
one of my favourite frontmen releases a solo album shortly....Eddie Vedder, and the album is entitled "earthling" and features Elton John, Ringo and Stevie Wonder to name a few.
im not sure whether they form part of his backing band or whether there are duets involved on the album (lets just hope it is not duets!)

NEIL YOUNG - "summer songs"

a previously unreleased album recorded in 1987.
contains one previously unreleased song and seven others that were later re-recorded for "freedom","harvest moon" and CSNY's "american dream" albums...
at this stage it is only available to stream if you subscribe to NY's official website, which i dont...
hopefully though, it will see a physical version released sometime this year.

Neil Young & Crazy Horse  "toast"

a previously unreleased album recorded circa 2001.
album lyrics were supposedly very 'personal' to Neil and he wasnt prepared mentally to release it back in the day...
obviously he is now over whatever it was that hit home and it is on its way shortly (pre orders available now).

Lawdy – Tommy Shaw and Alan Parsons. Who’da thunk? Upon reflection it makes sense though, and he acquits himself well on this track IMHO.

AP just loves the ringmaster role and I guess if anyone has earned the right to command the show, it is he! He seems to be enjoying the limelight in his more advanced years. I am not completely sold on his most recent circus/magic style stuff though, preferring the less garish mystery and imagination of the Edgar Alan Poe era, however, whatever he does, he certainly does with aplomb. Loads of references to all his much earlier work in this clip – will reserve judgement until able to listen to the whole album which will be released soonish – 15 July - From The New World.  https://www.frontiers.shop/detail/index/sArticle/1407

The ouroboros also made an appearance on the cover of Vulture Culture – the man certainly loves symbolism …

I actually quite like it. Wasn't expecting to. Nice surprise.
