Even though Tiny went on to a very lengthy career doing his novelty routine, he would never equal that Tiptoe gimmick. Produced by the legendary Richard Perry, I wonder if he considers it as one of his crowning achievements. Tiny left us back in 1996 (heart attack), but there is no one who lived during that period, that does not remember the name. That's called leaving your mark. The album reached #7 on the U.S. charts, and has some decent tracks, but overall is pretty bad, with the lowpoint being the Sonny & Cher cover of I Got You Babe. Initial attraction was due to Youtube postings of her amateur gigs, and appearances her countries Pop Idol show. This is her third album, although the first two were on a local Philippines distributed label. Material is not to my liking, but damn, the girl's got some chops. The Whitney/Celine comparisons are inevitable, and deservedly so. Keeps things musically simple, but still sounds quietly sophisticated. Haven't played this for a while...

Almost deserves to go into the Alternative section, because this is Pop music which is subverted by some spiteful, & acidic lyrics. Sort-of candy coated bile... Good album.

This is the first time for me to listen to a full album, and while I did like a few songs (I listen without prejudice), still more were on the downside. My fav of These Walls will never see the airwaves. The lead single of Thinkin' 'Bout Somethin' didn't do nothin' for me, and the video doesn't help. One thing stood out for me on this album. Although not evident on most of these scaled down live clips, these guys have Hollies sounding harmonies. I don't know these guys well enough to know who is who, but the dude on keyboards is the talent of this group I DO NOT LIKE THIS ALBUM Worst Track - Voice In The Chorus Best Track - These Walls These walls, too hard to climb And that ladder is too hard to find I don't want to be here anymore These roads, too hard to walk With the things you've been saying I don't even want to talk I don't want to wind up on the floor I don't want to be here anymore Fair amount of disbelief These walls are killing me I don't want to be here anymore Speak your mind or speak your peace I swear we're sinking deep I don't want to wind up on the floor I don't want to be here anymore The sky is falling all over again Just another dis-conclusion Another disillusion The sky is falling all over again Am I losing my composure?
