although im not a big fan of either U2 or Queen, i always make time(or tape) any concerts of theirs on tv, as they are phenominal performers. the same could be said of Pink Floyd and the Stones(damn it!, two others im not keen on musically).
Green Day...was never a fan of theirs till i saw a live dvd of them some years ago
Springsteen...puts everything into his shows, his "london calling" show from Hyde Park,London in 2010 is brilliant on bluray
McCartney...much better in concert than on cd/record
KISS...ive seen them live on every Aussie tour,about seven times i think???, always good value for money,Paul Stanley is a real showman
Robbie Williams...blew me away when i saw him live several years ago, has a great stage persona about him

Crazy,
Geez I forgot Paul. Saw him 2 years ago live here. That concert sticks in my mind constantly. You're right, I enjoyed him better than any of his CDs. Macca is keeping the torch burning for the Fab 4 as he does do mostly Beatle songs and memorable tributes to John and George.
I was totally floored when he did A Day in a Life !
DKMs are a very high energy group who were just here, unfortunately I missed them. I'll check out some bands on your list that I"m not familiar with.

A few off the top of my head...
- Pink Floyd. Seen them numerous times. Always truly spectacular
- Roger Waters. The recent live shows of The Wall were awesome
- Siouxsie & The Banshees. Seen them live twice. Very hot live band.
- Ian Dury. Only saw him play once, but what a high-energy performance
- The House of Love. UK Alternative band. Spine-tingling show
- PiL. The only time I've seen Lydon live. Excellent front man
- The Flaming Lips. Hugely entertaining shows
- Radiohead. LED lightshow was amazing. Incredible live band.

For me there have been quite a few:
- Saw Elton John in Birmingham(NEC) in the UK he was such a wonderful showman and performer.............
- Paul McCartney seen Birmingham (NEC) tremendous to see a Beatle and to hear him perform both his own work and Beatle material in the flesh.
- Ian Dury( Southampton) excellent performer
- Mary Black ( Eindhoven) This lady is such an excellent performer and sounds wonderful in the flesh.
- Gryphon seen as a support to Yes in 1978 such an original band and such presence live.
- David Bowie ( Milton Keynes Bowl in 1981 ?2 ) Even from a great distance this guy has charisma ............
- Magna Carta ( Heerlen, Amsterdam and in my own home! ) Magna are friends of mine so I get a different view from the average punter but hey are still world lass performers and musicians..
Nice to be able to go back to trust and friendship!!!!!!!!!

You mates are so lucky to have all that talent at your fingertips in Europa ! We are very bleak when it comes to great live acts.
Seeing Macca was the highlight of my life although I forgot to mention that I was literally only 3 feet away from Alvin Lee (post Woodstock) when he reeled into Goin' Home in Mocton, Canada. I can still hear pretty good ! I'm still a fairly big Ten Years After fan.
And awesome, I didn't realise you were friends with Magna Carta, Gryph. How did that start?

I have long admired Magna Carta. Bought the early singles and albums back in 60s and 70s .......Followed the band for years but never did see them..........Moved to NL and found that Magna toured regularly................Mrs Gryphon bought me tickets to see then finally a few years back in Herelen ( NL) I share aback ground with Chris Simpson, we both come from the same part of Yorkshire....................... I had just opened a 5 Star Bed and Breakfast in NL with Mrs Gryphon ...........So went over to him and in my broad Yorkshire dialect asked Chris was he from Yorkshire ..............and could I have an autograph for my Lord of he Ages CD.................Arranged to see him after he concert got he autograph and invited him to us at our B and B ........................Came home from work about 10 days later and Mrs Gryphon told me he had booked in for a few weeks later. He appeared as arranged ..............We had a great time with him and his current partner..........and we have been firm friends every since................he has visited us many times and Ive been up to Yorkshire to see him too
