Duane Allman on Whipping Post and Jeff Healey on While My Guitar Gently Weeps for starters

Off the top of my head I'd go with both lead lines from Thin Lizzy's "Cowboy Song"... Almost any lead Frank Zappa played live... Eddie V's "Eruption"... and all of Clapton's leads with The Bluesbreakers. These choices by no means represent any disrepect to the Bucketheads, Steve Via's, Al Di Meolas, BB Kings, and Joe Satch's of the world!
You can live in staunch denile and mark me as your enemy, but I'm just a voice among the throng who want a brighter destiny, and say with me, "We are the New America!" -Greg Graffin

Carlos Santana - I Love You Much Too Much from the 'Zebop' album. Also 'Samba Pa Ti'.
Blackmore's improvisations on Rainbow's 'On Stage' album.
'The purpose of life is a life of purpose' - Athena Orchard.

Rory Gallagher's "A Million Miles Away" from "Irish Tour '74"
Carlos Santana's "Make Somebody Happy" from "Sacred Fire"
Brad Butler's "Love Song" from One Less Reason's "Faces and Four Letter Words"
Mark Kendall's "Old Rose Motel" from Great White's "Psycho City"
Frank Hannon's "Eye Of The Mind" from "100 Proof! Live"
Robin Trower's "The Turning" from "The Playful Heart"
Joe Bonamassa's "India/Mountain Time" from "Live From Nowhere In Particular"

And probably a ton I'm missing. Too much music.

Always thought Randy Rhoads' solo on "Mr. Crowley" was incredible anything Mr. Van Halen does is usually golden. Also Eric Johnson's Cliffs of Dover
