New artist I've found 'Benjamin Steel'.

It's been stuck in my head all week! Would be great to hear your thoughts?

Mid-eighties synth-pop from Germany! Alphaville - very much not my usual choice but in retrospect, they were actually so good (in amongst a whole lot of terrible)! From Afternoons in Utopia -

umpteenth compilation album - #56 US

Good memories of watching The Adventures Of Ozzie & Harriet with the family. Probably the first scripted tv show to have a music segment. Didn't
know Rick was in the R&R HOF or that he had that many albums. Rick was at his peak around the same time as I was discovering music so I was into
him, then came that whole invasion thing. But this music was among my primers. A very nice compilation here covering all the hits that I
remember plus some filler for me. Ends with the fantastic Garden Party which has to be one of the best comeback songs ever. The studio album
that track comes from is great also, with the Stone Canyon Band. I'm sure there are more extensive compilations out there but they would
probably go too deep for me. This is all I need. Not posting all the clips for this.

I LIKE THIS ALBUM

Worst Track - My Buckets Got A Hole In It

Mighty glad is this Gringo to see Salsa make the list. These guys are well-tempered pros--damn shame there's no better vids: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EoOsEvaicOQ For a real hoot, punch in GrupoR4's Website then hit translate--fall-down funny and that's all on Google--the original is good Spanish.

About Rick Nelson--Underrated artist. Benefitted in the early years from his father's "muscle" but later made it on his own. James Burton's 1st employer and frequently used the Jordanaires. Respected by other serious rockabilly artists like Carl Perkins. The Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ricky_Nelson and a later concert: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VOAA8nlRSk8
BONUS: RN doing a Stones fave: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bwp4C3A_08M << got booed off the stage doing this live--go figure.

Ricky Nelson...one of the best from that late fifties era...!
i'd be hardpressed to pick a favourite track from him with about ten in the running...!
