Brought guitar pop back. Most anything on here would fit nicely on the White Album. England took this to the top of the chart and it was the
fastest selling debut album of all time there. The album did not have immediate success in the US, although it has gone Platinum over time. That
doesn't come close to the 7X Platinum mark in the UK. It remains the groups second best selling album.

I like this album....

Liam and the boys certainly reintroduced swagger and attitude back to music with their brash, aggressive personalities....
They pretty much single-handedly brought back "punk spirit" to the masses.

This is the groups best selling album and the best one that I have. Love 4 of the 10 tracks. Listed as 12 but two are short instrumentals which
I don't even rate. This album is more ballad driven than the debut with more strings and such and those are the tracks I love. The recording of
the album was when the tensions between the Gallagher brothers began to surface along with their egos. Then there was the media created battle
with Blur for Brit pop supremacy which wasn't helped by Noel's quote of he hoped "the pair of them (Blur members) would catch AIDS and die
because I ******* hate them two". That didn't go over too good. I didn't know the band changed drummers on this album booting the original guy
for Alan White. Hard feelings over that. And I would catch hell from CH if I didn't mention Paul Weller's contribution on Champagne Supernova.

That's the most complete album they ever made IMO as a fan....
Its pretty hard to go past your favourite pick also....
The opening piano on the track was primarily a slowed down version of Lennon's Imagine apparently....
Weller also co-wrote Champagne Supernova but refused to want credit for it....with them being a young band and all,
Noel in return played some guitar on Weller's Stanley Road album in the same year.

Was also a Beatles/Stones chart rivalry between these guys and Blur happening in the UK at this time also....
Drummer Alan White was the younger brother of Weller's drummer Steve White who worked with Weller from 1983(as a 16yo) through to the mid 2000s
